Lightning Government strikes . . .

Some years ago - back in 1985 from memory - the Children's Society produced a report about runaway children. In that report it was stated that the police kept no record of missing children, but they did keep a record of missing dogs.  This caused quite a little fuss at the time.

Today I see a post by the Society to say that now, some 32 years later, the Government have got around to the idea of establishing a national missing persons register. The Circumlocution Office is still hard at work.
